Zethieal padded into the open, somewhat didainfully, slightly tired., A long distance traveled in a short time..but, ha! She was a wolf, and it was nothing to her. She padded beside Demisi, Head Alphen, not even realizing that she might've been a bit quieter than him... they were like exact opposites; and yet.. and yet they went together. well, opposites can attract... she remembered the day she'd wandered into Ithildin.. dhe had come our because she thought Demisi'd already seen her. She came out, winced as if injured, from the sun... and then she'd gone with him because he was completely and utterly lost in th eshadows of Hethduae forest. He'd shown Zethiael, once they had left the forest's gloom and returned to the blinding light, the falls, the peak... well, they were going to the peak, but they either took a side-stop or a wrong turn, and ended up off Ithildin lands. And now, they were coming home. She couldn't help but smile at the brute beside her, thinking of her pathetci first direct re-encounter of day, and his with shadows...

The Head Alphen chuckled softly, gaze drifting across the terra. He slowed, still taking in his surroundings with all the awe and wonder of a pup discovering someplace new. He glanced to Zethiael, a light, fatigued smile crossing his maw.
"Home."
It rolled naturally off his tongue as he tried the word on for size. Demisi didn't travel often, somewhat.. afraid of it. He thrived on familiarity, insisted upon knowing every twist and turn in the path. It was partially why he disliked.. or rather, feared... the night. He couldn't see an inch before his own nose, which he found extremely unsettling.
The brute glanced to Zethiael, stretching himself a limb at a time as he gave a contented sigh. He paused for a moment, listening to the sounds of the night. Crickets, frogs, and the occasional owl, harmonizing in their melodies.
"Care to.. rest a while?"

Home.. She smiled, rather visibly.
Zethiael nodded gratefully, feeling her on paws weary indeed.Gladly, MiLord. It would be much appreciated.. She looked forward to plopping down and resting, even if it was the shadowy time of night... she just needed res.

The brute cringed faintly as he advanced toward the river a few paces, skimming the brush for an alcove or something that would serve as a makeshift shelter.
"Please... It's Demisi."
He turned his gaze back to her, quirking a brow as he regained a more normal composure. Returning the smile somewhat sheepishly, he felt oddly lighthearted. Perhaps it was because he was home, but.. oh, anyway.
"Good to be back, eh?"

She smiled, nodded. Yes, my Lo-- Demisi. It's actually rather nice, indeed, to be home. Ithildin...
She sighed, but it was one of happiness and tiredness, not of loathing. She too scanned for a resting place which could accomodate them, if not for long. Zethiael could feel the soreness creep slowly up her paws and into her body, spreading up rom the legs.
If we don't find someplace soon, we'll collapse right here and now..! She chuckled. ...Had she just.. made a joke?

"Indeed..."
Demisi nodded, glad she could call the terra home. He knew she would rather be wandering about in a dark forest somewhere, absorbing the night. But she wasn't... She was accompanying him to the outskirts of his packlands, which she had joined as a personal sacrifice. The femme was truly an underappreciated individual.
A roguish smile crossed the brute's featues as he dropped heavily to the grass with a luxurious, yet genuinely exhausted, sigh. Crania rested between his forepaws, which were splayed before him as he sprawled across the ground, chuckling softly.
"Oh.. great idea."

Zethiael plopped down with him, utterly exhausted- even for her, who'd wandered constantly and well nigh never rested during those years of solitude, and just kept.. walking, running, slinking.

A reddish brown figure moved within the nearby forests of this odd place. His muzzle of cream lifted in the air, haven wards, as he took in the odd new scents. His reddish face sunk back down lower toward the ground. His chest and underbelly consisted of cream, as well as his forelegs, ears, and the tip of his tail. A streak of cream ran down his backside as well. Other than that, he was the reddish brown of a timber wolf like his mother. He picked up the scent of two wolves, a male and a female. He sat down and brought his left hind leg up, scratching just behind his ear. The rag tied around the ankle felt odd as he itched himself. He set it back down, and followed their scent until he came to them. Lying down in the territory, he assumed they must have been traveling. He did not wish to disturb them, and simply sat in waiting. Perhaps they had heard Zero's noisy steps...

Zethiael stirred. She was asleep, but... once the tingling sensation set in, traveling up and down her spine, she knew her shadow-senses were at work, and she had learned to pay attention to them. And, lo and behold, she got a whiff of another wolf now, heard footsteps and another strange sound underneath scratching...
Head shifted on the ground, allowing those senses to guide her, and when she opened her eyes.. what a strange sight she beheld. A wolf, with a.. thing on it's leg. That would eplain the sound she couldn't identify.
Demisi; new wolf.. rise..?
She sent directly to Demisi, so only he could hear.

Zero eyed the area around him, without even noticing that the female had awoken. He took in the scents of the odd place, and walked a bit farther past them. He yet dragged his right ankle a bit, making a somewhat distinct sound. He touched his nose to the ground, finding that this place was somehow...different than other places he'd explored before...

She rose silently, inaudibly. Seeing the Alphen was fast asleep, she decided something had to be done-- and it had to be done by her.
You there. MiLord, aboutface if you would. You do not want to make a bad impression to the owner of these lands.
She stood, waiting, noticing his bad ankle.

Zero turned, eyes widened as he dipped his head to the ground. His auds lay back against his skull, and his tail under the belly. "So sorry m'lady, I did not meant to disturb you," The word 'sorry' had come off as if he had spoken it many times before. Indeed he had, always being held at a low rank in packs. He turned on his back, bely up now, and tail still touching his belly. He was used to this procedure of submittance, and it was easy for him to do so now. He stretched out his head to expose his neck to the Alphess, as he assumed the Alpha was the one resting now.

She smiled in acceptance and pity at the newcomer. Seems like you're used to this little procedure, eh? You did not really disturb us. We were just resting a bit. PLease, my good wolf, rise.
